In my current role as a research dietitian, I am responsible for the overall support and alignment of all nutrition research issues. This includes the planning, organizing, managing, and implementation of nutritional research and quality improvement projects; and collaborating within our clinical nutrition department to identify opportunities for future research opportunities to improve programs. I write study proposals, analyze and compile research data, and develop guidelines, protocols and procedures selective to clinical nutrition within the health care system. This requires proactively extracting, reviewing and summarizing relevant information within current research literature that guide best practice. My research interests are in nutrition support in the oncology and critical care populations.
